Murat was born in Istanbul. Michelle grew up on the Big Island of Hawaii. Somehow, from literally opposite ends of the earth they managed to meet half way in New York City. They met in the milonga and that is where their dance continues to develop with a strong emphasis on embrace, musicality, and improvisation.
